The begining reminds me of a hitchcock movie but it is when the blurred lights come in I think it works so well I love the multi layers of really nice and interesting looking shapes created by just lights. The piece is not over complicated and not the most exciting pace but it works seemlessly. Each time the beautiful text appears it looks like a gorgeous composition using or creating angles with the lights. The text and lights work pefectly together and the black and white with a very haunting soundtrack work really well.

Mutual Friends
From Craig Purkis at Liquid TV:
Representing the characters of this BBC drama, playful orange and white dots dance about a stark black background interacting with each other and giving us a clue as to how these two spar their way through each others lives.
Despite it’s 2D appearance the sequence was animated in Maya not only to give the animator greater control of the characters and environment, but also to add fluidity and personality to the spheres. As the turn around time for the sequence was just a little longer than it takes to make a cup of tea, an added benefit of animating in Maya was that we could quickly render in HD.”

Making Things Beautiful
Used a particle system to try and get the effect but going to have to tinker around and I dont think using particles is the best way as I havent got as much control over the final look. I am going to try an use stokes as I have created vector images that I will incorparate

journey of color
we see different color because the wavelengths are differing so I wanted to use this somehow and I had aleady had a previous idea of using line as showing a journey, like on a subway map different colors represent different destinations and I wanted to interpret this for DULUX as a journey of thought. With this animation I simply chased the 3-D line which is creating a wave in its path finally getting to its destination "color"

Prefuse 73 - End of the biters
Music video I have made using After Effects using particles to create the 3-D tentacle thing supposed to look organic something from under the sea. Buy creating audion keys from the music I was able to make its tentacles react to the bass of the song. The whole look and style is supposed to resemble a HUD giving it a kind of futuristic loo. Got inspiration from my own Tomorrows World work Ironman film and games like Metroid Prime where the HUD is a vey important factor. Coming up with this video was kind of an accident was just putting things together and techniques and stuff I enjoy the style of

Tomorrows World
I looked back at my title sequence and realised that I could hopefully improve and build onit so I decided to go back and improve my Tomorrows World title sequence as there was a lot of stuff I really wanted to improve on and now being a little more comfortable with After Effects decided to go back and create something like I intially wanted. I have learned better control of the camera creating a more dynamic look and wanted the HUD effect to be completely improved and to create a lot better atmosphere to be honest I changed most things

A simple idea that I came up with but not so simple to do. I followed a few tutorials on After Effects to help me create the look and found that the presets wave world and caustics would let me generate what I was trying to create. Although it looks fairly linear I think with more time and taking it steps further I could create something more dynamic if I wanted to.

generating colors
i got this idea from just looking at the colors used on a subway map and how different each destination has its own corresponding color. I just thought about creating 3-D lines of color on a journey and although I dont think it looks like they are on a journey like I had hoped I think it still has some style and actually reminds me of some adverts for Toonami previously looked at. think al look through them again. I used After Effects to create this short clip using plug-ins to help me refine a style.

personal colors
Took a color test I know there not real but they are fun and I quite like this idea of linking the colors to you on a personal level its a novel idea

You are a very calm and contemplative person. Others are drawn to your peaceful, nurturing nature.
a site dedicated to your birth colors again linking colors to you personally which would really attract a specific audience to Dulux colors
